Stitching Love: JNVCC Sewing Ministries Partners with Willowcreek Nursing Home
Sometimes ministry looks like a Bible study. Sometimes it looks like a meal shared around a table. And sometimes, it looks like a quilt carefully stitched together by loving hands.
The JNVCC Sewing Ministries is excited to partner with Willowcreek Nursing Home in Abilene, Texas, to bring warmth, comfort, and encouragement to its residents.
Through this partnership, our Sewing Ministries will be providing handmade quilts for residents at Willowcreek. Each quilt represents more than fabric and thread—it represents time, care, prayer, and a desire to remind someone that they are loved.
A Quilt Is More Than a Blanket
Our sewing ministry members are putting their time and talents to work creating quilts that residents can enjoy and treasure. As each quilt is stitched together, we hope it becomes a tangible reminder of the love of Christ and the love of a church family.
For someone living in a nursing home, a handmade gift can bring comfort and joy. We pray these quilts will provide warmth on chilly days, brighten a room, and remind each recipient that someone cared enough to make something especially for them.
Help Us With Our Sock Drive
We’re also collecting new men’s and women’s socks for the residents of Willowcreek Nursing Home.
Socks may seem like a simple gift, but practical acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We want to provide something useful while also letting the residents know that their church and community are thinking of them.
Sock Drive: September 6–20
Bring your donations of men’s and women’s socks and place them in the sock-drive box in the foyer.
Whether you donate one pair or several packages, every contribution helps us bless a resident at Willowcreek.
Sew. Give. Serve.
This partnership is a beautiful example of how God can use ordinary talents and simple acts of kindness to make a difference.
Whether you sew a quilt, donate socks, or pray for the residents and staff at Willowcreek, you can be part of this ministry.
We pray that every quilt delivered and every pair of socks donated carries the same message:
You are seen. You are valued. You are loved.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve the residents of Willowcreek Nursing Home and look forward to seeing how God uses this partnership to bless both the residents and our JNVCC family.
