About the Camp
Join us for an unforgettable time of spiritual growth, family bonding, and fun at the Jim Ned Valley Church of Christ Family Camp. Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the H.E. Butt Foundation Camp offers stunning views, crystal-clear waters from the Frio River headwaters, and a peaceful setting to focus on God and His creation.
Our camp is designed for families and youth who have completed 2nd grade through high school (youth may attend without a guardian). With Bible study, devotionals, singing, and plenty of outdoor fun, this camp creates lasting memories and spiritual renewal.

Payment
We’re excited to have everyone join us for camp, but please note that space is limited to 180 participants. Priority will be given to members of the Jim Ned Valley Church of Christ.
You can pay online or submit payment by check (made payable to Jim Ned Valley Church of Christ) and give it to Genny.
Youth Protection Training Requirement
All adults (18 and older) attending camp must complete an approved child safety training course. We will offer in-person training sessions at the church building on June 17 and June 24. If you are unable to attend one of these sessions, an online option is available.
To complete the training online:
Visit My.Scouting.org and create a free account. You will receive a member ID by email.
Log in and select Safeguarding Youth Training from your dashboard.
Complete all training modules and pass the final assessment.
Save or print your completion certificate. The certificate will also be recorded in the system and may be submitted with your volunteer application.
Note: You do not need to be a registered Scouter to take this training.
CAMPSITE DESCRIPTION
CAPACITY 32 cabins = 186 total beds (cabins are heated and air-conditioned)
CASITAS 2-5, 7, 9-11, 13, 15, 16, 18 - sleep six each (1 queen, 2 upper and 2 lower bunks) and two bathrooms in each (one bathtub, one shower stall, two sinks and two commodes). 72
CASITAS 1, 6, 8, 12, 14, 17 - sleep ten each (1 king, 2 upper, 2 lower, 2 daybeds, 2 trundles), two bathrooms in each (one bathtub, one shower stall, two sinks and two commodes). 60
CIRCLE BLUFF INN APARTMENTS A-L - sleep four each (1 queen, 1 upper and 1 lower bunk), one bathroom in each (one tub/shower combo, one sink and one commode). 48

WELCOME HOUSE B - sleeps four (2 upper bunks, 2 lower bunks), one bathroom (one shower stall, one sink, one commode) NOTE: Welcome House B is ADA compliant. 4
KITCHEN
The kitchen has a commercial LP gas range (six burners), a four-foot griddle, three single LP gas convection ovens, three warming ovens, medium-size pantry, a reach-in refrigerator and freezer, an ice machine, a microwave oven, a commercial can opener, and a commercial mixer. A dish washing machine and three-well sink along with detergent and sanitizer is provided. The kitchen is supplied with plates, cups, bowls, tumblers, flatware, five 10-gallon drink dispensers, and serving pieces. A hot table/serving counter (dry element) accommodates cafeteria- style serving. Food preparation utensils and containers are well-stocked including large spoons, forks, ladles, spatulas, tongs, sharp knives, small/ large stainless bowls, sheet pans (18” x 22”), roasting pans, coffee maker, tea maker, pitchers, muffin pans, colanders, whisks, washer/dryer, etc.
Please do not use disposable products such as paper plates, plastic cups, tableware, etc.
Plan to bring all consumable goods such as paper towels, toilet paper, 10-cup basket-style coffee filters, tea bags for tea maker (12 family size per batch), trash bags, dish towels, soap, cleaning supplies, etc.
Please plan to haul your garbage to a dumpster located on the property. A trailer (hitch required) is provided at the campsite for hauling garbage. A blue recycle bin is also provided with clear bags to facilitate recycling per instructions and should be hauled to the recycling dumpster.
Two BBQ barrels are available, but you must bring your own charcoal, firewood, and starter.
DINING
Inside dining for 120 is available with 8-person round tables in the Ranch House. Additional seating for 60 is available outside on the porch overlooking the river. The enclosed dining space doubles as a meeting area. The inside dining area is heated and air-conditioned.
WATERFRONT
At the primary waterfront area, the water is quiet but deep and only safe for competent swimmers.
A certified lifeguard must supervise all waterfront activity. Depending on activities, more than one lifeguard may be needed.
While fishing, please observe our “catch and release” policy.
Canoes are available. Personal flotation devices are provided and must be worn in the canoes.
PAVILION
The Pavilion seats 300 for covered open-air meetings, worship, skits, and presentations. The pavilion has electrical outlets, but A/V equipment is not available.
WELCOME HOUSE
Inside living room area, drop-down projection screen, public telephone, and restrooms.
RECREATION
• A basketball half-court, one sand volleyball court, a playing field, and a Ga-Ga ball pit. You must provide your own
sports equipment.
• Hiking trails are nearby.
• A campfire ring is located adjacent to the Ranch House. There is also a fireplace on the deck overlooking the river—please bring your own firewood and plan to take home whatever firewood you do not use.
